Plain and simple, I screwed up on this one. Tickets for tonight are now on TicketLeap.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHILADELPHIA, PA-April 22, 2013-Drexel University TechServ today announced its latest space acquisition: a secure cabinet in the Main Building. This latest acquisition is thanks to the efforts of Adele Varenas from Drexel’s Information Resources and Technology Department, Mike Smith from Drexel Facilities, and Dr. Jan Biros, the Sr. Associate Vice Provost. “We’ve all seen the divide that exists between Drexel’s campus and areas just a few blocks away. Particularly with regards to access to technology. With this new space available to us, we can continue our ever expanding work in ‘Bridging the Digital Divide’ with even greater efficiency and community impact,” said Julian Kemmerer, President of TechServ. “This new space will likely allow us to increase our donation output even more than the 300 or so systems that we donated last year,” added Chris Flounders, TechServ’s Head of Donations. TechServ would like to thank all of the parties involved in this effect for their support of TechServ’s efforts to bridge the digital divide in Philadelphia.
Drexel University TechServ is a student organization of Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, whose mission is to bridge the digital divide in Philadelphia through the refurbishment and donation of computer systems to non-profit organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Area.

Hello there UNIV-101 students. We’ve recently had a few meetings open back up for UNIV-101 hours. The following meetings are available as of 4:23 PM EDT 14 April:
- April 15 – One opening
- April 22 – One opening
- April 29 – One opening
- May 13 – Two openings
- May 15 and 20 – Fully open
Given how fast you lot appear to be at booking slots, please check with TicketLeap to confirm openings. April 15 especially is expected to be filled by the end of today (April 15).
Also, some reminders on policy (or for those of you just joining us, the short version):
- If you cannot attend a meeting, you must notify us prior to the meeting. If you do not, we will email you asking you for an explanation. If you do not respond, you will loose all of your future bookings. There are zero exceptions to this policy.
- You may book one – and only one – ticket per meeting.
- If you wish to attend a meeting for UNIV-101 credit, you must sign up on TicketLeap. Simply joining CollegiateLink does not qualify you for UNIV-101 credit.
- You are expected to bring your ticket to the meeting you wish to attend. Your ticket can be printed, saved to your mobile device, or added to Passbook. Please have your ticket ready for scanning at the door (this means not buried in your email somewhere).
- As a reminder, your tickets are not attached to your confirmation email. You are only provided with a link to print them.
- In the extremely rare event that there is an opening for a meeting at meeting time, you may register at the door, but you are strongly encouraged to pre-register.
It’s that time again. In case you missed the memo, meetings for the Spring Term are Mondays and Wednesday from 7pm until 9pm. UNIV-101 students, you can now start booking away on TicketLeap. To do so, hit the stupidly huge button below. Please note, you are now required to bring a ticket with you to a meeting. We have acquired a ticket scanner and will be scanning tickets this term to keep track of who actually showed up to a meeting. You can print your ticket, save it to your mobile device, or load it into Passbook.
Cya Monday!

Beginning with our Thursday, February 7th meeting, our UNIV101 sign up system will be changing. We are excited to announce that on February 7th, we will begin using TicketLeap to process UNIV101 reservations as well as any other future event management. We’re moving away from our current system to TicketLeap because it is far more reliable and makes several administrative tasks significantly easier. Please continue to use our current booking system on the Calendar page for meetings that take place prior to February 7.
If you would like to take the new system for a test run, or reserve a space for the February 7th meeting or later, feel free to head over to TicketLeap now by clicking the stupidly huge button below. Please note, the event that runs from the 23rd of this month until the 6th of next month is a test event. It is to be used only to test out the new system. If you are making a UNIV101 reservation and your ticket reads “TEST UNIV101 Ticket”, you have made a test reservation and your ticket will NOT be honored for UNIV101 credit.
If you have any issues or questions about the new system, please raise them at one of our weekly meetings or drop us an email at techserv@drexel.edu. For more detailed instructions, visit our UNIV-101 page. Also, if you do chose to “buy” a test ticket, please feel free to bring it to any meeting. We’re still learning our new system too 😉
