USACFC Fencing Results

The Drexel Fencing Club participated in their first ever USACFC tournament this weekend in Buck’s county. USACFC is a national tournament where collegiate fencing clubs from as far as California compete in a two-day long fencing tournament. Drexel was lucky enough to be invited and placed their female Sabre squad (Dahrah Muhammad, Neha Kamireddi, and Jeanna Shellenberger) into the fire.

The results blew everyone away.

Jeanna Shellenberger placed 9th in her pool of 26 fencers, Dahrah Muhammad placed 13th in her pool of 27 fencers, and Neha Kamireddi placed 18th out of 30 fencers in their individual pools. Overall, Drexel placed 15th out of 26 schools from the first day of fencing.

The second day of fencing proved to be even better. Drexel was able to break their initial seeding and fought for every touch which allowed them to place 10th overall out of 26 schools. The three ladies fenced their very best this weekend, and we as a team could not be prouder for them.
