On Sunday, April 15th 2019, the Drexel Fencing Club set out at 5 AM for their championship tournament for 2019. Three hours later, our tired fencers finally arrived in DC ready to fence the best they could. And let me tell you, we did not disappoint.
The Drexel Fencing Club was undoubtedly the loudest team there. At every match Drexel was in, our team was there, supporting our fencers and cheering them on even when the points were against them. We ended the day with smiles, laughs, and with the proud knowledge that we did our best and knowledge that everyone else knew that we did as well.
Some notable results from that day was that Drexel Epee squad won 2nd Place overall and Brandon Leong won 3rd in Men’s Epee. Congratulations to everyone and wish you end the seasons with heads held high and a desire to do even better next year.
