Fencer of the Week: Dahrah Muhammad

This week’s fencer of the week is none other than our fabulous president Dahrah Muhammad! Dahrah is an entrepreneur major at Drexel. She is currently preparing for her final co-op setting up her own start-up Musa’s World. She is both president of the club and captain of the sabre squad.

Dahrah has been president of the club for two years now and will continue into her senior year and probably beyond to be completely honest. She is dedicated to her club and has been a big part of the family culture in our club. She works hard to maintain a near perfect balance of family, social, and academics. ⠀

When asked what makes Dahrah so great, Matthew Chong, a member of her squads says, “Dahrah embodies everything a captain and a leader should be. She is always going out of her way to make sure everything is running smoothly. Her enthusiasm, her attitude, and her overall energy she brings to the club has greatly impacted and shaped the club as well — fencing would not be the same without her. On top of being the Sabre captain, she is also a friend and mentor for many. Dahrah has been one of the role models I have looked up to ever since I joined the club. Even though I have only really gotten to know Dahrah for about 6 months, she has taught me many lessons in and outside of fencing.”

Dahrah has always been a great friend to me and all of her teammates. She is an inspiration, and the club truly would not be the same without her.
