About the Speaker:



Speaker Name: Dr. Rajath Soans
Affiliation: Proscia (Director of AI research)

Rajath Elias Soans: Hailing from India, Rajath did his undergraduate from Visvesaraya Technological University where he was a part of the Indian Society for Technical Education and The Malnad Technical Club. After graduation in 2011, he joined Drexel University as a graduate student completing his Masters in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Signal and Image Processing. Soon after his Masters in 2013, he started his Ph.D. at Drexel University doing research on Medical Image Processing. Throughout his graduate life, he has been a part of IEEE (DIG), Pragathi and IGSA. After getting his Ph.D. in 2017, he joined Proscia as a Deep Learning Engineer. His expertise and knowledge promoted him to be a Senior Research Scientist just after 5 months of starting. Then about a year later, he became Director of AI research and he has been working and creating ever since.
